Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to MYAO and related services (the "Service"). MYAO is a venue for listing trades and negotiating offers on goods and services. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
MYAO lets you create trade listings, send and receive offers, counter, message other traders, leave reviews, and manage connections. We provide the software and the thread where a negotiation happens. We are not a party to any trade you agree with another user, and we do not take possession of goods or process payments between you.
2. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information on your account, for keeping your login details secret, and for everything done through your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
3. Listings and trades
When you post a trade you must describe the item or service honestly, including condition, quantity, location, and what you are asking for. Photos should be of the actual thing on offer. You must have the right to trade it. Listings that are misleading, incomplete, or placed in the wrong category may be edited or removed.
4. Offers, counters, and agreed deals
An offer or counter is a proposal, not a completed sale, until both sides accept the same terms on the trade thread. Once a deal is marked agreed, you are expected to follow through on those terms or cancel through the Service if you cannot. Do not take the negotiation off MYAO to avoid these Terms or to hide the record of what was agreed.
5. Handover and fulfilment
You arrange collection, delivery, or performance of a service directly with the other trader. Meet in a public place where that is practical. Inspect the item before you hand over money or complete a swap. MYAO does not escort handovers, hold goods in escrow, or guarantee that the other person will turn up or that the item matches the listing.
6. Payments
Any price, swap, or mix of the two is agreed between you and the other trader. MYAO does not collect, hold, or transfer payment. You are responsible for how you pay or get paid, and for any tax that applies to your side of the deal.
7. Messages, invitations, and conduct
Keep offers, counters, and handover plans on the trade thread where both of you can see them. Do not harass, threaten, spam, or impersonate anyone. Do not ask another user for passwords, copies of identity documents, or payment details before you have agreed terms. We may limit messaging or invitations if they are used to abuse the Service.
8. Reviews
Reviews must be about a trade you actually took part in. They should be honest and not used to extort a better deal or to attack someone for reasons unrelated to the trade. We may remove reviews that are false, abusive, or posted in breach of these Terms.
9. What you must not list or do
You must not use MYAO for anything illegal, stolen, counterfeit, unsafe, or that you do not have the right to trade. That includes weapons, drugs, adult sexual services involving anyone under 18, financial instruments, and listings designed to defraud. You must not scrape the Service, interfere with other accounts, or try to bypass a suspension.
10. Content you post
You keep ownership of the text, photos, and other material you upload. You grant MYAO a licence to host, display, and distribute that material as needed to run the Service — for example showing your listing to other traders and in emails about the trade. You warrant that you have the rights to grant that licence.
11. Our intellectual property
The MYAO name, mark, design, and software belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy, reverse engineer, or reuse them except as needed to use the Service in the ordinary way.
12. Privacy
How we collect and use personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service you also agree to that policy.
13. Suspension and closing your account
We may suspend or close an account, hide a listing, or limit features if we reasonably believe these Terms have been broken, if we are required to by law, or if we need to protect other users. You may close your account from your settings. Some records — for example agreed trades and reviews — may be kept as described in the Privacy Policy.
14. No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that listings are accurate, that other users are who they say they are, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. You use MYAO and deal with other traders at your own risk.
15. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MYAO is not liable for failed handovers, items that do not match their listing, payments made between users, or any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
16. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date on this page. If a change is material we will also try to notify you in the Service or by email. Continued use after the update is acceptance of the new Terms.
17. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer you may also have rights in the country where you live. Courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, except where the law requires otherwise.
